How Mike Hitchen motivates himself
I used to motivate myself by imaging that someone was "pushing" me. Of course, this person was not only female, but also very attractive. Some times I would smack myself on the bum, (acting as a sort of proxy but with nowhere near the same sense of satisfaction!) and chide myself. This ficticious mentor had a distinct personality, (am I beginning to sound wierd!) not too rough, but not too pleasant either.

NOTE Our clocks did NOT go back this weekend. Normally our clocks go back at the end of March, but this year they will not change until NEXT weekend.
